The first thing that can irritate anyone which is it is a common perception that reaching a good hill station is a difficult task but not in the case of Manali. You can directly take a bus from Delhi to reach Manali or simply can reach Chandigarh via bus, train or flight and can take a bus or can hire a taxi for a long drive to Manali.

Another option is you can reach Kullu via flight from Delhi and can ride from Kullu and Manali in just one hour. But if you are taking a cab from Chandigarh then it will be a memorable journey for you because the road journey from the mid-way station Mandi to Manali is as beautiful as the destination. You can explore amazing views of snow mountains, a perfect white watered river and a beautiful road under the blue sky all create some breathtaking and photographic views.

Where to Eat

Well, natural places like Manali are always famous for their natural and delicious food items and you are at a colder place so the food will be digested without a problem. In Manali, you will explore different types of options in food like you can taste some delicious North Indian and South Indian food at Mall Road as well as if you are looking for cheaper options then you can try paranthas which are delicious and budget-friendly.

Also, you can try icecreams, Himalayan fresh fruit juices, chaat and many more items at Mall road.

What to Explore

Manali is not a city which you can explore in one day so you should schedule your days as per your convenience.

Buddha Temple & Centra Park

On the first day, you can explore the city places starting from the Budha Temple which is nearby the Mall road. Just experience the beauty and peace at this place and take breakfast nearby this temple. After that, you can visit the central park just opposite the side of this temple where you can enjoy boat riding and can play some games.

Hadimba Temple

After that, you can take a taxi or auto to Hadimba Temple. This is a very interesting and popular tourist destination. This is the only Raskshasi temple in India named Hadimba which was the wife of Mahabharata character Bheem and mother of Ghatothkach (whose temple is also situated on the other side) who played a key role in the war of Mahabharta.

This temple is beautifully carved with ancient wooden art and surrounded by beautiful long trees. If you have a good memory then you will understand that this location is used in many Bollywood movies. Also, you can explore Himachali dance at this place. This place is heaven for photographic and nature lovers. You can take a pic with a python, rabbit or yak at this place.

Manu Rishi & Vashishth Temples

Apart from the Hadimba temple, the temples of ancient Hindu saints Manu Rishi and Vashishth are also present in this city and are very beautiful to explore. After that, move to the clubhouse a place which is easily accessible and here you can enjoy many adventure activities.

Now you can surrender your day by taking dinner and exploring the mall road in the evening.

Rohtang Pass

On the second day, plan your most amazing trip to Rohtang Pass. If you are with your friends then you can take bikes for rent or if you are with your family then you can book a taxi from the mall road taxi stand.

This is the trip you will never forget but here to remember one thing that you should choose a period when Rohtang Pass is open for tourists because most of the time it remains closed due to heavy snowfalls, slippery roads and landslides. So, before planning your trip ask your tour operator for Rohtang Pass availability. Your taxi will take around 3 hours to reach this place and the journey you will discover will be beyond your imagination.

You will be tired of taking pictures in the midway and if you are an adventure lover then this place is perfect for you. You can enjoy snow bikes, paragliding and much more here. Enjoy white snow with your loved ones and back to Manali before evening.

River Rafting

On the third day spend your whole day in adventure. If you are in Manali then you should experience river rafting in the Beas River. It will be once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this type of adventure in a chilled river.

Solang Valley & Manikaran Sahib

Solang Valley and Manikaran Sahib are two places where you can enjoy yourself with your family but these places are somehow far from the city and you have to hire a cab to visit these places and it will take your whole day.

Apart from these, there are many beautiful places you can enjoy nearby this beautiful city if you have a long tour of Manali.

What to Shop

This beautiful city has something for everyone as shawls from Kullu are very famous in the whole country and you can buy one directly from a factory in Kullu. Also, you can buy sculptures and wooden carvings from the local market of Manali. Old Manali is the best place for the shopping of ancient and beautiful showpieces.
