You can also get healthy through your military exempt food list. This allows you to purchase food items that support your country or unit. It’s great that the military puts resources towards their soldiers’ well-being!

2. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Many people don’t eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Unfortunately, these foods provide lots of important nutrients and antioxidants. You can easily add more fruits and vegetables to your meals by using herbs and seasonings instead of salt, sugar, oil and butter. Additionally, use spices like ginger, turmeric, cilantro and garlic to add flavor without adding calories or fat calories. You can also top your food with avocado or olive oil for a healthy addition without affecting flavor.

Many other meals also benefit from including protein in their recipes- this includes breakfast, protein bars, shakes and more!
